Letter from Principal Kloss, Oct. 11

Filed in Elsmere by on October 11, 2019

Dear Elsmere Families,

First, a big thank you to the Elsmere Fire Department for spending another day at our school this week, teaching important fire safety information in an engaging way. Now is a great time to review your fire safety plans with your children at home. A special thanks goes out to the Elsmere Fire Department parents who provide an important service to our community and took time to come talk with students: Mrs. Bardin, Mr. Hotaling, Mr. Peters, Mr. Root, and Mr. Yates.

Some special events next week:

Monday – Columbus Day – No school

Tuesday – Ecologist George Steele visits – thank you PTA!

Friday – National Wear PINK day

Our Student School Spirit Club has begun collecting winter outdoor clothing for those in need. If you have any gently used coats, snow pants or winter gear of any size, please send it to school for the collection. Also, my friends at Mary’s Corner have again asked for any gently used baby clothing sizes 0-4 that you are looking to get rid of. The need is great and the supply is short. Donations of any clothing may be sent to the office.

We hope you continue to enjoy our photos posted on the Elsmere PTA Facebook page and look for any other announcements in our Virtual Backpack. Wishing you a wonderful three-day weekend!
