Letter from Principal Kloss, Sept. 29

Filed in Elsmere by on September 29, 2017

Dear Elsmere Families,

Happy comfortable-weather-days! What a relief to have a break from the extended summer. Many thanks to all for “keeping your cool” during those very hot days the past few weeks.

Our Elsmere garage sale was a terrific success thanks to the hard work of many, including coordinator Wendi Quidort and her assistants at the school sale, Liz Lewis, Liz Cartagena, Jennifer Allinson, Nikki O’Meara, Christin Daniels, the Cicek Family, Susan Dietzel, Meredith Moriarty, Shannon Maker, Amy Johnston, Chris Follos, Sarah Seder, Sam Karmel, Suzie Ko, Kate Geurin and more. We had a beautiful day made even better by the sale of lots of treasures.

Next week we celebrate the contributions farmers make to our world through participating in the BC Farm to You Fest. Please see the flyer sent home which includes details about our Dress Like a Farmer Day on Tuesday, Walk to School Day on Wednesday, a veggie collection all week, and the Farmers Market Scavenger Hunt on Saturday.

Picture Day is Friday, October 6. Information was sent home earlier and order forms are coming home today. Please call the office if you did not receive this.

Friday will also be a required Go Home Early drill with a 3:05 dismissal. All students are asked to ride the bus home that day to practice in case this option is ever needed. Please, no walkers, pick ups or bike riders for dismissal on Friday, October 6.

Enjoy a lovely weekend,

Kate Kloss
