Dear Elsmere Families,

Welcome back! I hope the first two days of the school year were wonderful for you and a sign of great things to come.

As you might have seen from the photos on our webpage, we were busy building classroom communities of learners and organizing ourselves for a fun and productive year ahead. We hope you enjoyed the meet-and-greet supply drop off on Wednesday and feel settled in already.

Many thanks to our PTA for the Welcome Back Coffee yesterday. What a delicious way to get to know many of you. We hope the weather cooperates for the Back to School Dessert Party tonight. If we need to postpone it, we will send out communication about this.

Please mark your calendars for next week’s PTA meeting on Tuesday at 7pm in library and Parent Open House on Thursday. Parents/guardians of children in grades kindergarten, first and second will meet from 6:15-7:15. Parents/guardians of children in third, fourth and fifth grades will meet from 7:30-8:30.

Congratulations to our students who completed the summer reading challenge and completed their calendars: Sam C., Abby C, Ayden M., Isaac S., and Ben S. Great job!

As we embark on our journey together, we look forward to a strong partnership with families and thank you for your support and trust. If ever you have a concern, question or suggestion, please feel free to contact me at, work: 518-439-4996 or home: 518-439-6370. Working as a strong team, we will certainly make this a terrific year of growing and learning for our children and ourselves!

Hope to see you this evening!

Kate Kloss
