Letter from Principal Ksanznak, Dec. 1
Dear Parents,
Tomorrow, Saturday, December 2 is our annual Hamagrael Elementary School Craft Fair held here at our school. This is always a fun and well attended event. This year we have over 90 vendors signed up to be here and there will be food available made by Jimmy Makes Pizza and Adirondack Kettle Korn. We also have our PTA bucket auction featuring items donated by our craft fair vendors. Thanks again to the PTA, the volunteers who will be here throughout the day and a special thanks to our Hamagrael Craft Fair coordinator Marcene Lee for all of her efforts in making this event such a huge success.
During the week of December 4-8 will be collecting food items for our BCSD holiday food drive program which will help feel local families this holiday season. We will have collection boxes in the front hallway and will be collecting the following items:
Instant potatoes
Box or Bag of rice
Canned vegetables, fruit, tuna fish
Stuffing mix
Bisquick™
Cereal
Pasta and sauce
Brownie mix
Cookie mix
Peanut butter & jelly
Pudding mix
Soup
As always thank you so much for your generosity and support as it will be greatly appreciated by the families during the holiday season.
On Thursday, December 7 we will have our CAPER program from 6:30-7:30pm in our auditorium. We have a great group of readers signed up to read, a used book swap, new book raffle and treats during intermission.
Our final Parent-Teacher Conference day this fall will be held on Friday, December 8. The children will be dismissed at 11:45am. I hope that you have found the conferences to be informative and helpful as it is important to have an open home/school communication network to held all children have a positive learning experience.
Have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing many of you here tomorrow at the craft fair.
Sincerely,
Dave Ksanznak
