Dear Parents,

Yesterday the Adopt-a-Snowflake gifts and food drive items were picked up and it was quite a sight to see.  I know that many people in our area will have a much better holiday season now due to your generosity. We collected 275 gifts for the children.  Thanks so much for your contributions and support of this program. I would also like to congratulate our coordinators Amy Joyce, Krista Applebee and Erin Svare on a job well done.

During all lunch periods our students have been recycling separating garbage, recyclables and compost.  They are excited about being a part of this project which is now a part of our lunch program.

With the winter weather here I want to remind you that the children go outside for recess each day unless it is raining, if the wind chill is 10° or below or if it is too icy outside.

This morning we had a bus safety drill when the children arrived at 9:10 a.m.  We have a few of the bus drills during the school year as the drivers review bus safety rules and the expectations of the children when they are on the bus.  Everything went very well and thanks to our drivers, bus attendants and students for working together to keep everyone safe.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Sincerely,

Dave Ksanznak
