Dear Parents,

All Bethlehem Central Schools will be closed on Monday, January 16 to observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Next week is Grades 1-5 “Family Math & Science” nights here at Hamagrael.  The evening workshop consists of a series of hands-on, fun-filled math and science activities in which parents and their children will explore and learn together.  The program will be held on Tuesday-Thursdays, January 17-19 from 6:30-8 p.m. in our auditorium.  Thanks to Drey Martone and Sarah Genovese for all of their efforts in coordinating this for our school community.  Here’s the schedule:

  • Grade 1         Tuesday, 1/17 OR Wednesday, 1/18
  • Grade 2         Tuesday, 1/17 OR Wednesday, 1/18
  • Grade 3         Tuesday, 1/17 OR Thursday, 1/19
  • Grade 4         Wednesday, 1/18 OR Thursday, 1/19
  • Grade 5         Wednesday, 1/18 OR Thursday, 1/19

Our “Kids Helping Kids” committee will be hosting our annual Community Service Afternoon on Tuesday, January 24 from 3:20-4 p.m. here in our auditorium.  The permission slips are due by Wednesday, January 18.  The children will be making thank you cards for our troops, assemble crafts for children at Albany Medical Center, snowflakes for our “Adopt-a-Snowflake program and make lunches for the Homeless Action Van in Albany.  Thanks to Gianna Aiezza, Krista Applebee and Amy Joyce for coordinating this committee for us.

Our Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, January 25, 26 and 27.  We will be dismissing children at 11:30 a.m. on our conference days.  The report cards will be posted on ASPEN on Monday, January 23 in the afternoon.  We will send out an SNN when they are posted and ready for you to review.

Have a great weekend.
