Letter from Principal Ksanznak, Jan. 4

Filed in Hamagrael by on January 4, 2019

Dear Parents,

I hope that the New Year has been good so far.  It is nice having the building busy with activity again after the break.  As I visited the classrooms, cafeteria and out at recess I was quite impressed with the academic work and behavior of the children.  I know that it can difficult getting back in the swing of things after a break, however, the children have gotten back into the routine and have really been great!

Next week we have our Family Math and Science Nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Here is the schedule for the program:

                        Tuesday, 1/8               Kindergarten & Grades 1        6:30-8 p.m.

                        Wednesday, 1/9          Grades 2 & 3                          6:30-8 p.m.

                        Thursday, 1/10           Grade 4 & 5                            6:30-8 p.m.

This is always a popular event as children and parents work together on a series of hands-on fun math and science activities.  Thanks to our PTA for their support of the program and to our coordinators Dan Lewis and Sarah Genovese for the efforts putting this program together for us.

At some point next week we will have a “Lockdown Drill.”  State law requires us to have four lockdown drills during the course of the school year.  This will be our second drill of this type this year.  During the drill movement in the school is restricted and all doors are locks and secured until the drill is over.  We will notify you when the drill has been completed.

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you this week at one of our math and science nights.

Sincerely,

Dave Ksanznak
