Dear Parents,

On behalf of the Hamagrael Elementary School staff I want to thank you for another wonderful school year.  It is a pleasure having the opportunity to work with you and your children and you should be extremely proud of how well your children have done this year and of all they have accomplished.  Thanks!

On Tuesday evening our 5th graders will be having their “Moving Up Ceremony” at 7p.m .in our auditorium.  This is always a fun evening and a nice way to celebrate our 5th graders and wish them well as they head off to middle school.  Thanks to our Moving Up Ceremony coordinators Beth Clark, Jess Lafata and Kate Adams for all of their efforts organizing this program for us and to our 5th grade families for providing the refreshments for the night.

Along with our 5th graders moving on we have a few Hamagrael staff members who will be retiring at the end of the school year.  They have all made an impact here at Hamagrael and will truly be missed by all of us here.  As the building principal I have enjoyed watching how they interacted with the children and how dedicated they were to help all children have a successful school experience.  Congratulations and all the best to teacher aide Ellen Turner, grade 3 teacher Mary Szczech and vocal music teacher Lorraine Guyon.  Congratulations and all the best in the years ahead!

Our last day of school for the 2016-17 school year will be Wednesday, June 21.  The children will be dismissed at 12:10 p.m. on that day.

Your child’s report card will be posted on the ASPEN system on Friday, June 23 in the afternoon.  We will send out an email when they are ready for you to view.

All books borrowed by children from our library are due to be returned to school.  If you have an overdue book, please send it to Mrs. Held as soon as possible, thanks.

Happy Father’s Day to all of our Hamagrael dads!  Enjoy the weekend.
