Letter from Principal Ksanznak, June 2

Filed in Hamagrael by on June 2, 2017

Dear Parents,

It was great to see so many children and parents at our Hamagrael Art Show and Ice Cream Social last night.  This is always a fun event and one of many here at school that makes Hamagrael such a special place.

On Monday, June 5 our fifth graders will be going to the Bethlehem Town Park to participate in the annual “Survivor Day” program with other fifth graders in the district.

The New York State Grade 4 Science Written Assessment will be given on Monday, June 5.  This is the second part of the assessment as our fourth graders took the performance test last week.  We use the results of these tests to note areas of strength and areas in which we can improve in our K-5 science program.

On Thursday, June 8 we will have Kit’s Interactive Theatre here at Hamagrael for two performances.  At 9:30 a.m. our students in grades K-2 will see “Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother” and at 2 p.m. our students in grades 3-5 will see “The American Revolution.”  We are looking forward to the performances as they feature a former Hamagrael Elementary School student!

On Friday morning, June 9 we will recognize our wonderful parent volunteers with our annual “Parent Volunteer Breakfast.”  All of us here at school are very appreciative of all of the work our volunteers do throughout the year.  Without your help our school would not be the same, and we cannot thank you enough for being partners in your child’s education.  The breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. in our cafeteria and childcare will be provided.

Also on Friday evening our 5th graders have the end of the year “Pit Party” from 6-8 p.m. at the Bethlehem Central Middle School.  Thanks to Beth Clark, Jess Lafata and Kate Adams for organizing this event for us.

Our Hamagrael Countdown begins on Friday, June 9.  Here is the schedule for our countdown:
