Dear Parents,

Our Parent-Teacher Conferences Days begin next week.  The conferences provide you with an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss their progress to date academically and socially.  The formal report cards will be available on ASPEN January 25.

On our conference days all students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m.  Here are the parent-teacher conference days for the first semester:

  • Thursday, November 15 – 11:45 a.m. dismissal
  • Wednesday, November 28 – 11:45 a.m. dismissal
  • Friday, December 7 – 11:45 a.m. dismissal

On the day before our parent-teacher conference day your child will bring home a “purple slip” for you to complete and send back to school with your child on the conference day.  Please complete one for each of your children. The information you send in will help us with our half-day dismissal to help ensure we get all of our students where they need to be on our half-days.

Our November PTA meeting will be held on Thursday, November 15 at 7 p.m. in the library.  Child care will be provided.

Our 14th annual Hamagrael Turkey Trot will be held on Friday, November 16 at 3:20 p.m.   This is always a fun event which is always well attended so parking might be an issue.  Please remember that you can only park on the school side of the street.

Friday morning, November 16 is Picture Retake/Makeup Day.  Any students who were absent on picture day can order pictures and will receive an order form.  Pictures can also be ordered online at and use the Picture Day ID AD088037Q1.  If you would like your child’s picture retaken, kindly return the picture packet you have already received – but please keep the class picture.  If you have any questions, please call the main office.

Our popular PTA Thanksgiving Pie Sale is back!  Your child should have brought home an order form for you to complete and send in by November 14th.  The pies can be picked up on Tuesday, November 20 from 3:15-6:00 p.m. here at school.  Thanks to Kate Gaffney for organizing this for us.

And finally, mark your calendar for our Hamagrael Craft Fair!  It is only a few weeks away, Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

All BC Schools will be closed on Monday, November 12 to observe Veterans Day.  Have a great weekend.
