Letter from Principal Ksanznak, Oct. 19
Dear Parents,
Over the next few weeks we will have two collections for those in need. The first is a children’s book drive to help homeless families transition from shelters to a place of their own. The children can’t take books from the shelters so the donations will help them bring something to their new residence. The other drive will be to help local families as we are working with the BCHS Student Senate to collect food items which are distributed to local families in need. Here is a list of items we will be collecting:
- Pasta
- Macaroni & cheese
- Small individual cereal boxes
- Cans of soup, stew, chili, pastas
- Breakfast bars
- Granola bars
As always thanks for your help and generosity.
Next Friday is our annual Hamagrael Halloween party. This is always a popular event with an arts and crafts area, food and drinks, a DJ station, guest readers in the library and our amazing, second to none, Haunted House. We are all set for the event on October 26 from 6:30-8:30pm here at school. An event like this really takes a lot of coordination, time and effort. Thanks so much to our volunteers, Dr. Richard Uhl for his work with our haunted house and our committee chairs for this event:
- Halloween Party – Patricia Minns
Jess Lafata
Julie Gilboy
- Haunted House – Heather Cohen
Bill Ketzer
Gianna Aiezza
- Arts & Crafts – Kim Kauffmann
Maisie Weissman
The children can dress up for the party; however, we ask parents not to wear a costume in case we need to locate you for any reason. Thanks for your help with this.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely,
Dave Ksanznak
