Letter from Principal Ksanznak, Oct. 20

Filed in Hamagrael by on October 20, 2017

Dear Parents,

Each month we focus on a character education trait here at school and throughout the year grade level teams host an assembly to highlight the theme.  This month we have focused on the theme “Responsibility” and on Wednesday morning our second graders will host our assembly program to promote the importance of being a responsible citizen.  We are looking forward to seeing what they have prepared on the 25th.

On Thursday, October 26 the Bethlehem Central School District will host a parent information night for those interested in learning more about the new iReady diagnostic tool which is an online assessment tool that we use to see where the children are at in the areas of reading and math.  The children will take the assessments three times a year and we use the results to plan instruction and personalize learning for our students.  The meeting will be held in the Bethlehem Central Middle School Auditorium and will begin at 7 p.m.

On Friday, October 27 we will have our annual Hamagrael Halloween Party from 6:30-8:30pm here at school.  This is always a well-attended event and one of our most popular.  The committee has been preparing for many months and the volunteers have been hard at work getting all of the materials and supplies together to help turn our school into the “Halloween Place to Be!”.

Thanks to our many volunteers who help make this event so special as well as our Halloween Party coordinators Julie Gilboy, Tricia Minns, Jess Lafata, Kim Kaufmann and Maisie Weismann, and our Haunted House coordinators Melissa, Carpinello, Gianna Aiezza and Dr. Rich Uhl who has been helping us out for the past 14 years putting his special effects and lighting talents to good use.

I look forward to see you there.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Dave Ksanznak
