Letter from Principal Ksanznak, Oct. 6

Filed in Hamagrael by on October 6, 2017

Dear Parents,

All of our Hamagrael Elementary students have recently completed our new online assessment tool called i-Ready.  This program has replaced Aims Web at the elementary level and you should be receiving your child’s individual report in November.  Our teachers use the information gained from the assessments to help plan instruction for all children. Our teachers also use class observations, assignments, projects and discussions as well to see where our students are academically and to help us provide all children with a positive learning experience.

Next Wednesday, October 11, the Bethlehem Central School District Strategic Planning Committee is hosting a Community Forum from 6:30p.p. to 8:30 p.m. in the high school library.

The committee is seeking to gather input for a strategic plan tentatively titled Design for Excellence 2025.  The long-term plan will examine the district’s core values, mission and vision and map out goals and strategies that will help guide district decision-making into the next decade.  The planning process is just beginning and will likely extend through early 2019.

Please consider attending the forum on Wednesday to share your vision for the future of BC.  You can RSVP here:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BCSD-Community-Forum

This year’s half-day conference schedule has been moved from three half-days in January to three half-days in November and December.  Here is the schedule for our parent teacher conference days:

We will continue to accept food donations during the month of October to help families in and around our area.  We have boxes in our front hallway for the donations here is our suggested list for each grade level:

Grade One:  Canned goods – fruits/vegetables

Grade Two:  Pasta, macaroni dinners, macaroni and cheese
