Dear Parents,

It was nice to see so many of you last night at our annual open house program.  I hope that you found the evening worthwhile and all of us here at Hamagrael are looking forward to working with you throughout the year.

We have our famous Hamagrael Elementary Fall Family Picnic set for this coming Sunday, September 17 from 4-6 p.m. here at school.  This is always a fun event and the weather looks great for Sunday.  There will be music, dancing, games, prizes and a bar-b-que including hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers.  Wear orange and black or Hamagrael attire to show school spirit at the picnic.  Thanks so much to our coordinators Erin Svare and Amy Higgs for all of their efforts in organizing this special event for our community.  I would also like to thank the many volunteers who come early to work throughout the event and stay late to clean up.  This event couldn’t be possible without our volunteers!

On Monday, September 18 the Bethlehem Central School District will host the first ever Community Activities Fair at our high school from 6:30-8 p.m. in the cafeteria.  This is a great opportunity to find out about the many different activities and programs there are in our town.

All Bethlehem Central schools will be closed on Thursday, September 21 for Rosh Hashanah.

Today your child should be bringing home a flyer reminder for our school picture day which is scheduled for Monday, September 25.  Pictures can be ordered online at mylifetouch.com and our Picture Day ID is AD087028Q0.  Order forms will be sent home on Wednesday, September 20 and should be completed with payment and sent to school which your child on picture day.

Have a wonderful weekend and for those attending the picnic on Sunday, I’ll see you there.

Sincerely,

Dave Ksanznak
