Dear Parents,

Our Farm to You Fest wraps up tomorrow with a Farmers Market Scavenger Hunt which will be held at the middle school from 9am-1pm.  You can find the scavenger hunt checklist on your district website. This week we collected over 100 pounds of fresh produce which has been donated to the Capital Roots Squash Hunger Program.

All Bethlehem Central Schools will be closed on Monday, October 8 for Columbus Day.

On Wednesday, October 10 Hamagrael Elementary School will be participating in the International Walk to School Day.  Your child will be bringing home information about the event and the route we will take on the 10th.

Your child will also bring home a “Hamagrael Halloween Party” form for you to complete if you are planning to attend the event.  The completed form with payment should be sent back to school by Wednesday, October 24.

This year our PTA created a “Hamagrael PTA Handbook” which you can find on our website on the PTA tab.  This document will provide you with information about the events scheduled during the year, helpful tips and volunteer opportunities.  We are fortunate to have such an active PTA that provides our students and community with so many wonderful opportunities. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the events so if you have the time, please see which events you are available to help with.

On Friday, October 12 we will recognize BCSD Homecoming week by encouraging Hamagrael students and staff to wear black and orang attire, BC or Hamagrael attire.

Thanks and have a wonderful long weekend.

Sincerely,

Dave Ksanznak
