Letter from Principal Reagan, June 23

Filed in Eagle by on June 23, 2017

Dear Parents:

It is so hard to believe another year has ended at Eagle. On Tuesday we had our fifth grade moving up ceremony and I was shocked when I noticed all the families that would not be
returning next year because their youngest child happened to be in this year’s class. It is always a bittersweet feeling when we see whole families moving on. They have become part of the greater Eagle community and we become very accustomed to their presence and their energy. So, when I realized it may be a long time until our paths cross again, I was truly humbled. I am honored to work with such great people day in and day out. We are a great school and that is because we have truly amazing parents, teachers and kids that are compassionate and kind.

Speaking of people leaving we do have some changes for the 2017-18 school year. The following staff are moving on to new adventures:

  • Mrs. Suhrhoff, school counselor
  • Mrs. Suhrhoff, school counselor
  • Mrs. Adalian, kindergarten teacher
  • Mrs. Schrade, third grade teacher (Happy Retirement!)
  • Mrs. Henchy, first grade teacher (Happy Retirement!)
  • Mrs. White, RTI teacher
  • Mr. Pisanello, music teacher
  • Mrs. Buckley, art teacher
  • Mr. Ditata, librarian
  • Mrs. Eldeen, librarian

We wish all of our staff members the best of luck in the future. In August I will update you with our new teachers.

Before I end this letter, I would like to give a big shout-out to Mrs. Malsan’s class and the whole fifth grade for naming our hallways. We now have official street names at Eagle Elementary! Also, thank you for the BOU for helping fund the purchase of our street signs. Enjoy a great summer with your children. We miss them already!

Fondly,
Dianna
