Letter from Principal Reagan, Sept. 29

Filed in Eagle by on September 29, 2017

Dear parents,

Hope this finds you well and enjoying the cooler weather. We have had a great couple of weeks at Eagle. The fifth graders had wonderful weather and a wonderful time at Nature’s Classroom, the teachers enjoyed meeting all of you at Open House and all classes are in full swing with curriculum and learning.

Most students in grades 2-5 should be finished with their iReady testing in both math and ELA. We were very pleased with our students’ commitment to trying their best and taking their time. K and 1 students will be taking the assessments next week. After all students have finished, the teachers will sit down in teams at meetings called data meetings. During these meetings we discuss the scores on iready, students’ success in the classroom thus far, and any other pieces of information which may be helpful to us. Our goal is to discuss each child and how we can best move him/her forward in learning. If you are interested in more information on iReady, please join us on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 7-8 in the MS auditorium.

Next week is Farm to you Fest. If you have any fresh fruit and veggies you would like to donate, please have your child bring them to school and place them in the bins in the foyer. Also, if you like digging in the dirt, join us on October 7th to help clean up the Eagle garden from 3-5pm.

Have a wonderful weekend!
