The Bethlehem Central School District was notified today that a third member of the Bethlehem Central High School community has tested positive for COVID-19. Officials at the Albany County Department of Health informed the district that as part of their investigation they have determined there has been no exposure at the school involving this positive case. The district was notified on Sept. 27 of the first case of COVID-19 linked to an individual in the school district, at the high school, and on October 10, a second positive case was reported to the district by the Health Department. That case also involved a member of the high school community. There has been no identified link between the three cases.

There have been no confirmed positive cases linked to other schools in the district. All schools in the district will remain open for in-person instruction.

If you or anyone in your family is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please contact your healthcare provider. District administrators will continue to work closely with the Albany County Department of Health regarding any COVID-19 cases that could impact the school community.
