A Bethlehem Central School District Food Service employee, Nancy Sill, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 7. Mrs. Sill was employed in the cafeteria at the middle school where she worked serving breakfast and lunch to students and cooking in the kitchen.

Sill had been a member of the Food Service team since 2002.

“Nancy Sill was an integral member of our staff at the middle school,” said BCSD Food Service Director Allissa Eiser. “She will be dearly missed by her colleagues and friends here at BC and by the students she saw every day. Nancy always made an effort to focus on the little details that helped make the breakfast and lunch program special for her students – from adding garnishes to the food that was served, to adding festive decorations to the lines, to remembering the food preferences of her students and making sure she had their favorite meal item at the ready.

In addition to her assignment at the middle school, Mrs. Sill had worked at the high school, Hamagrael Elementary School and Clarksville Elementary School, where she began her career with the district.

Sill is survived by her husband, Francis, and her five children and nine grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Friday, November 10 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Babcock Funeral Home, 19 Pulver Avenue in Ravena.
