Glenmont students celebrated everything New York on Friday, June 21, at our “New York State of Mind” Field Day!  They did the limbo under a cut-out of Albany’s Egg, fished from the Hudson (a kiddie pool), participated in a relay of apple pie ingredients into a cardboard oven, and pushed the Times Square Ball (actually our giant Earth ball) down a path.  While it rained during the first hour which forced a few activities inside, it didn’t spoil the fun.  Everyone cheered when the sun came out to make this the best Field Day yet!  Many thanks to Laurie Nolan for coordinating the whole event with Joanna Crawford’s assistance.  Special thanks also go to our staff, parent volunteers, and other family and friend volunteers including Glenmont alums.  We could not have done this without you!
