On Friday, January 17, BC students who are part of No Place for Hate at the middle school and high school were part of an important regional conversation at Siena College aimed at reducing bias and hate in schools and in our community.

They were among more than 200 students from various school districts in the Capital Region who were invited to the school as part of Siena’s annual STOP (Students Together Opposing Prejudice) Conference. The students and the adults who accompanied them attended workshops facilitated by the Anti Defamation League.

The aim of No Place for Hate at BC is to empower all students to stand up to bigotry and intolerance. Both BCMS and BCHS have earned designation as No Place for Hate schools based on the work of these students and their faculty advisors.
