At its October 5, 2016 meeting, the Bethlehem Central School District Board of Education accepted the resignation of High School Principal Scott Landry effective June 30, 2017. Mr. Landry and the Board of Education reached a settlement in full resolution of Education Law § 3020-a proceedings involving Mr. Landry which was acted on by the Board of Education on October 5, 2016.

Landry remains on paid leave until the effective date of his resignation.  On the effective date of his resignation, he will receive payments for sick leave and vacation leave.

“The Board is pleased to mutually resolve this matter without going through extended litigation,” said Board President Matt Downey. “The Board and District administration look forward to devoting their full attention to the students and staff of the District.”

It was announced earlier this year that Interim High School Principal Mike Klugman will continue in the position through June 2017 to provide continuity to students and staff. A search for a permanent high school principal will begin in early spring 2017.
