BCMS Salad for Kids Day 2018

Filed in BCMS, Student Spotlight by on October 5, 2018

There is something special about a school that can grow its own delicious, nutritious food. Thanks to the BCMS Garden Club, led by Assistant Principal Mr. Mark Warford, it is something the middle school has been doing for many years.

This is the eighth year the school, as part of Farm to You Fest, hosted Salad Day for Kids. This year, on Friday, Oct. 5, middle school students chose to add a fresh salad, grown in the garden, to their lunches.

Thanks to Mr. Warford, faculty and staff, and the wonderful parent volunteers who harvested, clean, prepared and served our students Friday. Even former Board of Education President Matt Downey stopped by to help out! Your efforts have continued to make Salad Day a huge success!
