Salad for Kids Day continues to be a success

Filed in Archive by on October 11, 2016

There is something special about a school that can grow its own delicious, nutritious food. Thanks to the BCMS Garden Club, led by Assistant Principal Mr. Mark Warford, it is something the middle school has been doing for several years. This is the sixth year the school, as part of Farm to You Fest, hosted Salad Day for Kids. This year, on Friday, Oct. 7, middle school students chose to add a fresh salad, grown in the garden, to their lunches. Thanks to Mr. Warford, faculty and staff, and the wonderful parent volunteers who harvested, clean, prepared and served our students last Friday. Your efforts have continued to make Salad Day a huge success!
