In what has become an annual tradition at Slingerlands, the Cat in the Hat dropped by Slingerlands Elementary School on Thursday, March 2 to celebrate the 113th birthday of Theodor Geisel, known better as beloved writer and illustrator Dr. Seuss! The Cat was accompanied by Thing 1 and Thing 2 (fifth graders Sasha Greenberg and Alice Murphy) and a mini-Cat in the Hat (Katherine O’Neil, also a fifth grader) who did a phenomenal job reading to students the school’s youngest students. Older students at the school also got a visit from the literary gang and took part in a Dr. Seuss trivia contest.

An outstanding day for all! View photo highlights from the Celebration of Seuss at Slingerlands.
