
Slingerlands March PTO Meeting Minutes
March 13, 2018
I. Introduction
- Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.
- All attendees introduced themselves
- There were no changes to the agenda
II. Treasurer’s Report
- A formal treasurer’s report was not presented, but Resa shared the following:
- Panera profit came back at around $225
- Krause’s and Silver Graphics are still coming in
- If there are any questions about the budget, please contact Karyn or Resa
III. Announcements and Reports
- Principal’s Report – none, Mrs. Bonacquist went home ill
- Teacher Representatives –
- Kudos to Francine for organizing the Camp Fair
- One School One Book was a huge success, thank you to PTO for ongoing support
- Give & Go is next Friday, 3/23. This is different than Drop & Shop, as activities that night are geared toward students giving back to the community
- President
- President’s Council Update
- focused mostly on the upcoming budget (Vote coming up in May). There will be a formal presentation of the budget at the next PTO meeting
- Any student/school safety concerns should be brought to the PTO presidents, Mrs. Bonacquist, or superintendent Monroe
- Food Services has a registered dietician would be willing to speak at a future meeting
- This will be the last year of the Clarksville scholarship. The board and attendees agreed to contribute
- Camp Fair: Coming up on March 20th
- Spring Fundraisers: Volunteers are needed to chair and/or assist with the following important fundraisers:
- Give and Go Night: Scheduled for Friday, 3/23
- Run-a-Thon: Jen Bergeron coordinating for a Friday afternoon in May
- Spirit Wear – no date yet
- Movie Night (featuring Wonder): 4/13
- Spring Book Fair: 4/19 with art show and ice cream social
- Restaurant Nights: looking at Swifty’s, Bellini’s and Texas Roadhouse
- Yearbooks
- President’s Council Update
