Student COVID Screening Update Sept. 23

Filed in District, District News by on September 23, 2020

This message is ONLY for families of students K-12 who receive in-person instruction during the week.

We want to be sure you have easy access to your child’s COVID screening tool every day!

On Monday, Sept. 21, the vendor we use for the Student COVID screening mistakenly sent repeat email reminders to parents. Since that time, several parents have discovered that these COVID screening emails (from sender are being recognized by their email providers as Spam or Promotional emails.

So here is what you can do to ensure your child’s screening is at your fingertips:

  1. If you are a parent, check your primary inbox for today’s email (Subject: BCSD Covid Survey). If you DON’T see it there, check your Spam folder and/or your Promotions tab to see if your child(ren)’s BCSD Covid Survey email is there.
  2. If you find it in Spam or Promotions, click on the email and drag it to your primary inbox if you can AND check with your email provider on how to add “” to your Safe Senders list or to your Contacts list.
  3. There is an easier way to complete your child(ren)’s screening on a daily basis than checking your email every day. Each child’s link is the same every day. Your child’s individual link can be found in any of the previous BCSD Covid Survey emails you have received from since the school year began. The easiest way to complete your screening(s) is to bookmark the link for each child. You can do this on your computer, or follow these instructions to do this on your phone. Instructions for adding a bookmark to your iPhone can be found here. Instructions for adding a bookmark to your Android can be found here.
  4. Mornings are so busy. Set an alarm every day, M-F, as your own reminder to complete the screening.

If you are having difficulty retrieving your email or bookmarking these links, please contact Technology Director Ray Nardelli at
