Filed in Archive, BCHS, District, District News, Student Spotlight by on October 15, 2020

Two Bethlehem Central student-musicians have been named participants in the 2020 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Performing Ensembles. They are among top high school musicians from across New York State to be honored for musical excellence.

Nicholas Watson, who plays the violin, will perform in the All-State String Orchestra Ensemble and Peter Klisiwecz, who plays the tenor saxophone, will perform with the All-State Instrumental Jazz Ensemble. Klisiwecz was also named an alternate in the All-State Wind Ensemble. Both are members of the BCHS Class of 2021.

Klisiwecz and Watson will participate in a virtual All-State experience since the in-person performances, usually held in Rochester, have been canceled due to COVID-19. They will rehearse with well-known conductors and will be part of a special recorded concert featuring the best musical talent in New York State.

Congratulations, Nick and Peter!
