Girls varsity field hockey team is Section II champion

Image of girls varsity field hockey team and coaches.The Bethlehem girls varsity field hockey team captured the Section II Class A championship on Sunday, Nov. 2, with a 1-0 victory over Guilderland. The win marks the program’s second sectional title, and first since 2022.

The team, led by head coach Dawn Austin and assistant coach Kerrigan Roth, entered the tournament as the No. 1 seed with a 16-2 record. Bethlehem will advance to the NYSPHAA subregional round to face Section III champion Rome Free Academy on Nov. 5 at Camden High School.
