Region 6 includes the Greater Capital Region which spans 11 counties, including Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schoharie, Schenectady, Warren, and Washington.

“Mrs. Anderson has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her students, her colleagues, and the overall community,” said K-12 Art Department supervisor Melanie Painter. “She exemplifies professionalism, leadership, and a passion for continuous learning that greatly enriches our school.”

Painter said that Anderson is known for creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

“Her dedication to cultivating a safe and welcoming space has a profoundly positive impact on her students, allowing them to express themselves creatively and authentically,” said Painter. “We are so proud of her accomplishments.”
