BCHS student qualifies for National FBLA Leadership Conference

Congratulations to BCHS ninth grader Ann Hu, who placed first in the New York State Future Business Leaders of America (NYS FBLA) State Leadership Conference in the Computer Applications competition. As a first-place winner, Hu has qualified to represent New York State later this month at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

Both the state and national FBLA leadership conferences test students in highly specific business, technology, and leadership categories.

The Computer Applications category challenges students to demonstrate their proficiency in using a variety of software applications to manage and communicate business information. Through a production test, students apply skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools to complete real-world business tasks efficiently and accurately.

At the National Leadership Conference, Hu will put her computer applications to the test as she competes against the top business students from across the United States. She will also have opportunities to network with thousands of other students and experience leadership and career development training.

Good luck in Texas, Ann!
