On Tuesday, July 7, more than 30 Slingerlands students and their families attended a “Meet the Principal” event, where they met and mingled with new Slingerlands principal Kate Kloss. Kloss comes to Slingerlands from Elsmere Elementary School.
Students of all grade levels, including those new to the school from rezoned neighborhoods, enjoyed getting to know one another and had fun on the playground.
There will be several opportunities to “Meet the Principal” this summer:
- Thursday, July 23, 5:30-6:30p: Playground Meet-Up at Slingerlands Elementary School
- Friday, July 24, 9a: Meet the Principal (parents/caregivers only) at Slingerlands Elementary School
- Tuesday, July 28, 7p: Bethlehem Public Library (outdoor live music) – Mrs. Kloss will be there.
- Monday, Aug. 3, 9a: Kindergarten Story Time with Mrs. Kloss in the Slingerlands Elementary School library.
- Thursday, Aug. 6, 6p: Cruise-In at Tastee Treat – Mrs. Kloss will be there.
