An important message from Superintendent Jody Monroe

The following is an important message from Superintendent Jody Monroe…

Dear BC/Parent Guardian:

I am writing to inform you of an arrest made by the Bethlehem Police Department following an incident on school property after school hours.

On Friday, Oct. 16, at approximately 4:43 p.m., the Bethlehem Police Department located and arrested an individual in the high school parking lot. The individual is a former district employee who has not worked for the district in several years. According to the police department, the individual was charged with three misdemeanors: obstruction of governmental administration, criminal contempt, and criminal trespass. The individual has since been released under probation supervision.

The district is in communication with law enforcement as they address this matter. To provide additional reassurance to our school community, the Bethlehem Police Department, in coordination with our school resource officers (SROs), will maintain a heightened security presence at our buildings in the coming days. Families can expect increased police visibility and patrols around our schools.

We appreciate the continued partnership of our school community, our school resource officers, and the Bethlehem Police Department as we work together to keep our schools safe.

Sincerely,

Jody Monroe
Superintendent
