On Saturday, May 3, BCHS junior Zoli Arthur was a guest performer with the Empire State Repertory Orchestra at a concert held at the Zankel Performing Arts Center at Skidmore College.
Earlier this year, Zoli won second place in the Empire State Youth Orchestra’s Annual Concerto Competition. As the runner-up, Zoli had the opportunity to perform a movement from their winning concerto with the Empire State Repertory Orchestra. They performed Hristo Yotsov’s “Concerto for Drum Set & Orchestra” with the ensemble.
The conductor of the Empire State Repertory Orchestra is also a familiar face at the high school: orchestra teacher David Beck, who is pictured above, center stage, with Zoli Arthur. Congratulations to Zoli and Mr. Beck on a successful concert!
