Residents of the Bethlehem Central School District have approved a $119.8 million budget for the 2026-27 school year by a margin of 1,988 to 566, or approximately 78% in favor to 22% opposed.
Voters also elected three candidates to serve on the Bethlehem Central Board of Education. They are: Meredith Moriarty, Holly Dellenbaugh and Sara Bailey. There were four candidates on the ballot:
- Becky VonWedel received 988 votes
- Meredith Moriarty received 1,646 votes*
- Holly Dellenbaugh received 1,647 votes*
- Sara Bailey received 1,427 votes*
*Meredith Moriarty, Holly Dellenbaugh and Sara Bailey have been elected to serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2026. Dellenbaugh and Moriarty currently serve on the Board. It will be Sara Bailey’s first term as a board member.
A bus proposition was also approved by district voters:
- Bus purchase proposition (72% approval – 1,832 yes; 716 no)

Passage of the 2026-27 will ensure all students have the opportunities, experiences, support and guidance they need to achieve success.”
A total of 2,554 residents participated in today’s vote. Tonight’s results are unofficial. Vote totals will be certified on Wednesday, May 20.
