The BC Board of Education recognized the BCHS Odyssey of the Mind team during its June 17 meeting, celebrating the team’s outstanding performance at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals.
The team of seven students traveled to Iowa State University in May and earned an impressive sixth-place finish in the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals.
During the meeting, team coach Rebecca Beiter gave a brief presentation highlighting the BCSD Odyssey of the Mind program and the students’ journey to the World Finals. The presentation can be viewed here.

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that challenges students to solve open-ended problems through creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.
Elementary families interested in starting an Odyssey team next year are encouraged to contact Rebecca Beiter at rbeiter@bethlehemschools.org. Elementary teams are coached by parent volunteers.
