The Bethlehem Central School District is a proud member of its community and considers itself an important hub of healthy community activities and education, as well as information and awareness. The BC Community Announcements page provides information regarding educational and recreational activities and programs that benefit the students and families of the district. 

If you want your organization’s programs or events listed below, please use this form. Only listings that meet the terms and conditions set by Board Policy 1810 will be considered for publication. This information can be found below.

Community Events and Activities

Wildlife Day is Saturday, Oct. 4 – Includes event at Five Rivers

Join NYS DEC, NYS Parks, and Parks & Trails New York for Wildlife Day this Saturday, October 4th! Help celebrate New York’s unique wildlife and support wildlife conservation at one of the many stewardship and educational events being held across the state. Oct. 13: Baseball Skills, Drills & Friendly Competition

The Bethlehem varsity, JV, and Bethlehem Babe Ruth travel players are hosting a 3-hour baseball skills & drills clinic AND an afternoon Battle of the Schools competition for children ages 5-12. The event will be held at TriVillage Magee Park, beginning at 9 a.m. There are registration fees. You may register for morning, afternoon or both sessions. Girls Basketball Mini-Camp is Oct. 18

The girls basketball booster club will offer a Basketball Mini-Camp for girls in grades 3-8 on Saturday, Oct. 18. The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the high school. There will be skill building and fun, competitive activities. Camp staff includes JV & varsity coaches and players. All skill levels are welcome! The cost is $40. Register here.

BBC Basketball registration is open for students in grades 2-12

BBC is excited to announce we have opened registration for the BBC 25-26 Basketball Season. We continue to offer Programs for 3rd Grade through 12th Grade, including travel starting in 3rd Grade. Open gyms will be starting in September so register today! We will offer a small 2nd grade program that has very limited space so sign up today if interested. Open Your Heart to the World… Host an Exchange Student

Description: The Rotary Club of Delmar invites you to be a part of something great—host an exchange student and change your life. We are looking for Bethlehem families to host international exchange students for 3½ months. Host families must have a student enrolled in Bethlehem High School. Rotary Club provides training and support for families and exchange students. Contact the Youth Exchange Officer at jjebersold@gmail.com for more details.

Bethlehem Girls Basketball Club fall registration underway

Bethlehem Lacrosse Club offering fall programs for grades 1-6

The Bethlehem Lacrosse Club is now open for fall registration! Lacrosse is offered for grades 1-6. Fall is a great time to learn the fundamentals of the game. Practices are held one night a week at the Elm Ave Town Park. There are a few local competitive events throughout the fall Visit the website www.bethlehemlacrosseclub.com to sign up. Policies, procedures and guidelines

Board Policy 1810 – Guidelines for Community Announcements in Bethlehem Central Publications

  • No announcements from for-profit organizations will be published.
  • Announcements will be published from groups affiliated with the District (often referred to as Bethlehem Central President’s Council member groups). A list of these organizations can be found below.
  • In addition, announcements regarding recreational and educational activities and programs that benefit children within the school community may be published. These activities, events, and programs must take place within District boundaries to be considered for publication.
  • From time to time, it is recognized that the Towns of Bethlehem and New Scotland seek to bring attention to important information for town residents. When one of the towns identifies information of such importance, publication will be considered.
  • Advertising/Announcements for both student fundraisers and fundraisers for booster clubs and parent organizations (groups affiliated with the District) will be published only after the fundraiser has received the necessary approvals under District policy governing such fund-raising activities.
  • The final decision on what may or may not be disseminated using Bethlehem Central School District communication tools lies with the superintendent.
