Compensation and benefits
- Starting at $24.25/hour.
Medical and dental insurance, if eligible - NYS retirement
- Flexible, part-time schedules available
- Guaranteed 6 hours/day minimum schedule (Drivers usually two shifts that take place between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., and again between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.)
- Uniform shirts provided
- Paid training ($21.00/hr) to earn a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), if hired, and following completion of six months service
- $1,000 retention bonus if hired, board-appointment, and following completion of ten full months of service (excluding summertime work)
- $600 referral bonus for staff who successfully recruit new hires
About the job
- Most drivers work in the morning and again in the afternoon with a long break in between (Drivers usually two shifts that take place between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., and again between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.)
- No evenings or weekends required
- Drivers do not work during school vacations or on holidays
- Drivers create a positive environment on the school bus
- Work for the top-ranked school district in the Capital Region
Qualifications
- No CDL needed to apply
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a clean driving record
- Enjoy working with students
