The front of Glenmont School got a beautiful make-over last weekend. Jen Freeman and Jessica Kirk, the same parents responsible for the beautiful mum garden last fall, planned and coordinated a team of parents volunteers to completely redo the front garden by the flagpole.

Colorful new perennials, flowering bushes, and boxwood plants in the shape of a “G” now fill the space!  Special thanks to Jeannine and Doug LaPorta: we couldn’t have done this without Doug’s professional expertise and connections, as well as their truck and trailer, and their donation of dirt for the project.

Doug crafted the “G” in the rain on Saturday!  Parents who helped with digging out the old garden and planting the new one on Sunday include Kristin Blake, John Buff, Heather Gigliello, Linda Pauze, Kevin Quinlivan and student Graham G. Jen and Jess put a lot of time and energy into making this project possible, including several district meetings; they also donated the mulch.

Thank you to all of you for helping to make our school beautiful!
