On Wednesday, May 3, hundreds of Eagle students and parents who live in the vicinity of the school walked, biked, scootered and skated to school as part of the annual Walk/Bike/Roll to School Day.
The weather cooperated for the annual event that is designed to encourage outdoor activity and safety, especially bike safety and proper helmet use. Members of the Bethlehem Police Department were instrumental in assisting at crosswalks and in helping to reinforce the safety messages.
To encourage pedestrian and bike safety districtwide, the Town of Bethlehem will host a Walk and Roll Fest on Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to the public and will take place at 250 Delaware Ave (rear lot). You can make sure your bike and helmet are ready for summer riding with a bike check and helmet fitting and try your riding skills at the skills station. There will be prizes and giveaways at the event.
