As part of a Buddy Service Project, students in Bethenny Kourt’s grade 4 class and Alix Messier’s grade 2 class helped spread the spirit of the holiday season.
The students worked together to fill small bags with necessities including snacks, hygiene items, socks, and other items to be donated to people experiencing hardship or homelessness.
The students decorated the bags with pictures and messages of hope and kindness. The bags were donated to the Street Soldiers organization which distributed the bags in Albany on Friday, Dec. 15.
The Buddy Service Project works on a community service activity several times a year. Thank you to all who made this Nov/Dec project a successful one!
