A message from K-12 Counseling Supervisor Kristen Connor for BCHS families:
Due to staffing changes in the high school Counseling Center, there will also be some changes ahead for counselor assignments.
Mr. Scott Carlton has retired after 31 years of service to the district and Mr. Ryan St. John recently accepted an administrative position in a neighboring school district. We will be adding two new staff members and adjusting counselor assignments in order to meet the needs of our students.
Celia Holmes has been hired as a Crisis Intervention Specialist. Ms. Holmes has worked closely with BC students and families in the district as a clinician with the Saratoga Center for the Family. The district partners with the Center to provide family counseling. We are excited to welcome Ms. Holmes full-time to the high school. Ms. Holmes will continue to work with students and families to support both academic and social-emotional growth for students. Ms. Holmes will begin on September 1.
A new school counselor will be appointed at the next Board of Education meeting on August 16. Please watch for more information about our new counselor following that meeting. Anticipating this appointment, we have shifted our counseling assignments as follows:
