The Bethlehem Police Department’s Community Services unit invites BC families to National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Elm Avenue Park. The event is part of an annual national crime prevention effort. Information about crime prevention and personal safety will be provided by many different organizations.
In collaboration with the Town of Bethlehem, along with other community agencies, departments, and businesses, there will be FUN for the whole family:
- Live Music
- Poster Contest (read more below)
- Bounce House
- Fire truck displays and demonstrations
- Ambulance and EMS equipment displays
- Free ice cream from Stewart’s Shops
- Cotton candy, hot dogs and popcorn
- Raffles & more
Poster Contest (open to children entering grades 1-5)
Students entering grades 1-5 can enter a poster contest. Winners will be announced at the National Night Out on Aug. 5. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!
The theme for this year’s poster contest is ANIMAL SAFETY.
All submissions are due by Monday, July 28th at the Bethlehem Police Department, 447 Delaware Avenue, Delmar. Stop by the Bethlehem Police Department to pick up your poster paper! Poster paper generously donated by Staples of Glenmont.
The public can vote on the best posters. Community voting on the posters will take place at the Bethlehem Public Library, 451 Delaware Avenue, from Wednesday, July 30 through Sunday, August 3.
