
Residents of the Bethlehem Central School District will have an opportunity to learn more about the candidates running for the Board of Education when the Albany County League of Women Voters hosts a Meet the Candidates Night on Wednesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Central High School in Room D-122. The forum is open to the public.
District voters will elect three members to the Board of Education as part of the annual Budget Vote and Board Election on May 19. Four candidates will appear on the ballot in the following order:
- Becky vonWedel
- Meredith Moriarty
- Holly Dellenbaugh
- Sara Bailey
Residents can submit questions to the League of Women Voters ahead of the May 13 event. All questions should be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, May 9. The forum will also be livestreamed and recorded. The video will be posted ahead of the May 19 election.
The League of Women Voters requires all questions to be neutral in tone and addressed to all candidates. League volunteers will organize submitted questions by topic and may reword or summarize, or discard questions that are repetitive, personal or provocative. Some questions may not be addressed due to time constraints.
