BC Transportation is Hiring – Evening Ride & Drive event is May 7

Thinking of a new career or a return to work post-retirement? Consider joining the BC Transportation Team and work for the top school district in the Capital Region. We are hiring drivers and bus attendants. Prospective applicants for both positions are invited to the May 7 Ride & Drive Open House. This evening event is a great way to get to know our staff and what we do!

Prospective Bus Drivers

Not sure about driving a bus? Try it for yourself. You can TEST DRIVE a school bus or just TAKE A RIDE on the bus with one of our experienced drivers. You can attend our Open House and learn more about what it takes to be a bus driver in Bethlehem. You do not need a commercial license to apply. We offer paid training ($20/hr) and a starting hourly rate for bus drivers of $24.98.

Still not sure? Check out this video of an actual first-time BC test drive (YouTube).

If you’re not ready to become a driver, consider becoming a bus attendant. The pay rate for bus attendants is $18.26/hour, or $15.50 for substitute bus attendants. You can find out more about becoming a bus driver or bus attendant at our Open House.
