In November, members of the BC Youth Activation Committee (YAC), several staff members, and club advisor Sean Mooney plunged into the frigid waters of Lake George to support Special Olympics New York.

The Bethlehem team raised $3,300 for Special Olympics New York at the 2025 Lake George Polar Plunge, contributing to the statewide effort to fund athletic opportunities and programming for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The Youth Activation Committee (YAC) is a student-led organization committed to strengthening inclusion throughout the Bethlehem Central school community. The group fosters meaningful relationships between students with and without disabilities. YAC members support the district’s Unified Sports program. Currently at BCHS, unified bocce, bowling, and basketball are offered.
