BCHS Cell Phone/Smart Device Guidelines

Cell phones, smartwatches and wireless earbuds should not be used during the school day. 

All students must utilize a Yondr Pouch to store personal electronic devices during the school day. 

Yondr pouches will be distributed to all BCHS students on Monday, Sept. 11.

Consequences related to Cell Phone/Smart Device Guidelines

ZERO TOLERANCE related to the following offenses

    1. If a phone is seen or heard during the school day and is not in the Yondr Pouch and/or a student places an alternate phone in the Yondr Pouch.
    • Student is reported to the administration and the phone/smartwatch/earbuds are confiscated until the end of the day.
    • Student will need to report to the Main Office every morning for a month to hand in cell phone/smart devices to their Assistant Principal.

2. If a student damages their pouch intentionally.

    • Student will be charged $15 for a replacement pouch.
    • Student will need to report to the Main Office every morning for a month to hand in cell phone/smart devices to their Assistant Principal.

PROGRESSIVE DISCIPLINE related to the following offense

    1. If a student fails to turn off their phone/device when placing it in the Yondr and it is heard during the school day.
    • 1st Offense – Warning from Assistant Principal
    • 2nd Offense – Student’s phone/smartwatch/earbuds are confiscated until the end of the day and an afterschool detention is assigned
    • 3rd Offense –  Student’s phone/smartwatch/earbuds are confiscated and will need to report to the Main Office every morning for a month to hand in cell phone/smart devices to their Assistant Principal.

Students who refuse to follow the  guidelines or consequences are subject to additional penalties for insubordination.
