BCMS principal Dr. Michael Klugman honored by NYS world language teachers

The New York State Association of Language Teachers (NYSAFLT) has recognized Bethlehem Central Middle School Principal Dr. Michael Klugman with the Sister Rose Aquin Caimano Distinguished Leadership Award, honoring his exceptional support of world language education.

Presented annually to one outstanding school administrator statewide, the award was given to Dr. Klugman at the NYSAFLT Annual Banquet. He was nominated by members of the BCMS World Language Department, along with fellow teachers and administrators.

Dr. Klugman was selected for this honor in recognition of his:

  • Strong commitment to world language education at the middle school level
  • Dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion for all learners
  • Advocacy for professional growth, supporting ongoing development for world language educators
