The Bethlehem Central School District is celebrating an A+ rating and a ranking as the #1 Best School District in the Albany Area as part of the Niche 2027 Best Schools in America list.

Niche is an online publication that provides in-depth profiles on every school and college in America, using public data, reviews and ratings.

Niche also ranked Bethlehem #37 (of 597) Best School Districts in New York and #53 (of 11,089) for having the Best Teachers in America.

The annual rankings are compiled by Niche staff with data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and more. SAT/ACT scores were removed from this year’s rankings to reflect a general de-emphasis on test scores in the college admissions process.

The district’s #1 Niche rating follows a recent honor for Bethlehem Central High School. In August, the high school was named the top 9-12 school in the Capital Region by U.S. News & World Report.
