History of Wrestling at BC
Chris Saba – Class of 1988
One of the nation’s best Greco-Roman wrestlers is a 1988 Bethlehem Central High School graduate. Chris Saba is a two-time Olympic team alternate and an Olympic team coach (2016). At Syracuse University, Saba was the 1993 NYS Collegiate Champion who would go on to achieve a #1 ranked status in the United States. He competed on the 1997 and 1998 U.S. World Team and was the U.S. Open champion in 1997 and 1998.
